Nasal Cannula, quick update (3/28)

Here we are, the doctors have decided that Thatcher is ready to try a nasal cannula. We are a few hours in right now and God has provided Thatcher with the oxygen he needs, he is doing well, and when he has had brief desats he has been able to pull himself back up. We absolutely attribute this strength to our God. It is only by Gods grace, mercy, strength, lovingkindness, and glory that we are where we are today. Please join us in praising Our God who is able, our God who is our strength, our God who is holding Thatcher and carrying him.

We just wanted to quickly update everyone, thank you so much for praying, God is answering them, and we are so thankful, please continue to pray for healing, as we have a long road ahead us (going to be looking at the seizures again next, more EEGs) and praise the One who has brought us this far. Thank you Lord, you are so good, and you are in control, we trust you, Lord. May You be given all the glory, all the honor, because You deserve it, and You are worth it. We love you Lord, we desire more of You, because it is You who is giving Thatcher strength, it is You performing a healing work in him right now, it is You God and we can not get enough of You, would You become more! Would You increase, and we decrease, we want to see Your glory, Your face, we want to be in Your presence, God! Thank you, Jesus! Be glorified!

  3. I came across your blog by accident. I have been praying for you ever since. What a miracle little Thatcher is!!! Your family of three is beautiful. I too believe that God can heal him. I LOVE how much Thatcher has shown the medical field. It is true that before he was ever born God had ordained all of his days and has Thatchers story written. You are doing an amazing job being faithful to that story....the devil loves to try and distract us. Keep strong and continue your faith. He is a gorgeous little boy.

  4. You know.....doctors can't even cure the common cold, so it has never been a surprise to me that even a small baby knows his own capabilities better than some old fart who is using x-ray films to make his predictions. I love, love, love your story and am contanstly checking for updates. I am cheering you guys on! Anytime any Dr. or anyone else tries to tell you what Thatcher can or can't do - you just tell them that since Thatcher is healing himself on his own, than you will defer to him in that regard as well!

  10. Praying for your precious son. My favorite verse is, Acts 13:41 Look, you scoffers wonder and perish, for I am going to do something in your days that you would never believe, even if someone told you. When man says impossible God says Possible. I do believe in miracles, I do, I do.

  16. Eric & Whitney,
I found your blog so randomly, but so God ordained! He keeps calling me to it to pray and pray and pray. I have been in tears through your journey- crying in agony and worry, and crying tears of sweet joy! Thank you so much for sharing your journey so honestly and openly and for being such faithful Christ followers! It is so obvious that God's hand is at work, and He is going to use your sweet family in amazing ways. I will continue to pray for God's complete healing of Thatcher and for strength, endurance, perseverance and unwavering faith for you both. I can't thank you enough for how your witness and testimony through this has strengthened me!
"'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

  20. You, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. I cry aloud to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy hill. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the Lord sustains me. Psalm 3:3-5

Praying for Thatcher and family today and remembering that God is in control and very present in our time of trouble. Thank you, Sweet Jesus. Amen.
