Today (3/19)

Please pray fervently today! It's a long day of stressful tests for Thatcher, starting with an EEG at 7 am and we have a conference with our neonatologist and neurologist (conferences is hospital term for bad news meeting). Satan is already on the attack. Please pray for peace and comfort, for strength, clarity and wisdom. Pray for our doctors, the stress they deal with and that they look at Thatcher with compassion, as a miracle from God, not just a puzzle. Especially pray for sweet baby Thatcher Caleb!! Pray that God will breathe His breath of life into His child. That Thatcher will be strong and not overly stimulated during his tests. That he would feel God's breath fill up his lungs and he would have a renewed vigor and drive! That God would wrap his arms around our sweet baby so he feels the Lord's soothing love all around him! Lord, please place your healing hand on our sweet baby boy!

Lord, you are able, you are the Healer!! so we continue to beg for you to heal Thatcher Caleb and will wait upon your promises that you will answer in your perfect timing. Lord, heal him!!

  2. Lifting you up and storming the gates of heaven on your behalf. Lord Jesus, remind Eric and Whitney and you are a shield about them and the lifter of their heads. Lift their heads today so they see glimpses of You in all their interactions...we praise You for the healing You're doing in Thatcher's little body.

  6. Praying for all of you constantly! I came across these verses this morning and thought of all of you. "I cry out to the Lord; I plead for the Lord's mercy. I pour out my complaints before him and tell him all my troubles. When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should go." Psalm 142:1-3

    Philippians 4 (NLT)
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

  29. Thou art He, O my God, through Whose names the sick are healed and the ailing are restored, and thirsty given drink and the sore vexed are tranquillized, and the wayward are guided, and the abased are exalted, and the poor are enriched, and the ignorant are enlightened, and the gloomy are illumined, and the sorrowful are cheered, and the chilled are warmed, and the downtrodden are raised up. Through Thy name, O my God, all created things were stirred up, and the heavens were spread, and the earth was established, and the clouds were raised and made to rain upon the earth. This, verily, is a token of Thy grace unto all Thy creatures.

I implore Thee, therefore, by Thy name through which Thou didst manifest Thy Godhead, and didst exalt Thy Cause above all creation, and by each of Thy most excellent titles and most august attributes, and by all the virtues wherewith Thy transcendent and most exalted Being is extolled, to send down this night from the clouds of Thy mercy the rains of Thy healing upon this suckling, whom Thou hast related unto Thine all-glorious Self in the kingdom of Thy creation. Clothe him, then, O my God, by Thy grace, with the robe of well-being and health, and guard him, O my Beloved, from every affliction and disorder, and from whatever is obnoxious unto Thee. Thy might, verily, is equal to all things. Thou, in truth, art the Most Powerful, the Self-Subsisting. Send down, moreover, upon him, O my God, the good of this world and of the next, and the good of the former and latter generations. Thy might and Thy wisdom are, verily, equal unto this.

  36. Dear Eric and Whitney: I don't know you, but I found your blog through Kristin Welch's blog. I have a good friend who spent over 180 days in the NICU with her little boy after he was born. She began blogging in order to process and to keep people up to date on how Timmy was doing. He is now a happy one-and-a-half year old, but they to frequent the ER much more than they would like! Anyway, all that to say, perhaps you'd like to check out her blog. It might be encouraging to you (even if the circumstances aren't exactly the same). http://mortimerthemoose.blogspot.com/

I know the power of our Lord and I will continue to pray for a complete miracle. God can defy all odds and that is what I continue to ask. Lord heal Thatcher completely! Let his body become healthy and let no more pain or suffering come to him. Let him grow old and be a testament to your mercy. We love you and pray expectantly knowing that no prayer gos unanswered. Please continue to protect Eric and Whitney from Satan. Let them be filled with your peace. We love you father and need you to intercede in every part of this beautiful babys care. Amen.

  40. Dear Whitney and Eric
We were away for Spring Break so we are just getting caught up with your journey. We are so happy to see pictures of precious Thatcher. We know he has challenges and you both have serious concerns over the medical reports, but we also know that God is who he says he is and he can do the things he says he can do, so we trust and believe that He will be glorified and praised for all that takes place and that many people will grow stronger in their belief because of the faithfulness both of you have demonstrated. Everything that happens to God's people happens so that He will be glorified and that is happening daily. We will continue to pray for all of you, especially for Thatcher's breathing to improve, for his organs to heal and for your continued endurance, comfort and peace of mind. Love Jimmie and Elsa Dotson

  41. Dear Whitney and Eric,

You do not know me; I visited the Crossroads Baptist Church several times now. I have also heard how beautiful you sing Whitney in the choir.

It was an honor to witness at the Crossroads Baptist Church, the congregation, as a body of one, pull together and pray for you both and Thatcher. The emotions, the tears, the love of God, in His name and glory, praying for Thatcher. I will continue to pray for Thatcher every day.

May God's love, peace and strength be with you always.
